The murine hepatitis virus, a CDC-recognized surrogate virus for SARS-CoV testing, was used to inoculate cells and then added to a non-porous surface. The surface shield product was then sprayed 8 inches away from the infected surface per the use instructions. It was allowed to dry for about 60 minutes.
The persistence of the virucidal activity of the Disinfect & Shield Surface Shield remained active on stainless steel for 90 days and killed 99.95% of the coronavirus with a 10 minute contact time.
